Caleb’s Bookcase

Friday, March 30th, 2007

The bookcase for Caleb’s new room is ready. It was a fun project. Hope it fits in — with the many shades, surely one will match his new headboard, no?

Great day in Lima

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

We had a great visit today with Caleb and his Mom and Dad.   It was a beautiful day for the drive and we had much fun reading Thomas the Train and going to lunch together.   On the way, we also saw a humorous (or disturbing?) billboard.  I think I’d want to investigate further before moving into the Inn at Westbrook — wouldn’t you?

Pi Day — it’s come and gone!

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

I can’t believe it’s almost over. Hope you didn’t miss it.

Pi pi Day

Ahhh!

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

Today it’s blue skies and temperatures in the 40′s (F) — a high of 50 forecast.   The birds are singing again, and the snow is almost gone.   We pruned the grapevines for the first time.   The arbor looks pretty barren now, and it’s a little scary — did we take off too much? did we leave the right shoots?  We’ll see.  Last year’s crop was so sparse, I doubt we could be worse off.

Poppy’s Birthday

Monday, March 5th, 2007

Today was the party celebrating Poppy’s 83rd birthday.  It was quite an affair, as you can see in these photos and videos.  A very happy gathering!
