Interesting Windows Program
Portable Apps Suite is and interesting concept. Basically, it’s a group of frequently used applications that can be installed on a thumb drive. The applications can be launched from any Windows computer, and data is stored on the thumb drive — which allows you to take it with you to your next location. Supposedly, no trace of your work is left behind on the host computer. What I like is that you can conveniently take your data with you (documents, emails, bookmarks), and you know you’ll have compatible applications to open the data at your destination.

This is pretty neat… I threw it on my iPod and it works reasonably well, though OpenOfficeCalc was a little sluggish, though that may have been due to the size of the excel file I was playing with… Thanks for the link – I wouldn’t have found this!
