Harvest ’08
Woohoo! We had lots of concord grapes and tried our hand at jelly~~our first attempt at making something grape-y! Easy to make, it dirtied LOTS of dishes and utensils, is very tasty, and prob’ly cost only slightly more than store-bought: Steidl Grape Jelly!! On the plus side, it IS organic, pesticide-free (ask anyone who saw our phenomenal crop of japanese beetles), contains NO high fructose corn syryp, and only one of us scalded his finger with the molten jelly. A culinary triumph! Oh, and please note the cute little yellow piggy planter I found at the flea market. It makes me happy.

WOW!!!! That’s wonderful! I’m glad you had enough grapes this year to make it. Looks really good.
And the piggy does too.

That could be the best grape jelly that we’ve ever had. Was the extra flavor from the Japanese Beetles?

Maybe beetles could be the new msg. Hmmm….
Seriously, no beetles were harmed in making this product!
