I don’t go to too many movies:  there just aren’t many that sound interesting enough to shell out the money to watch in the theater, and, even when the movie DOES sound intriguing, I’m usually bitterly disappointed.    A case in point:  my excitement about the latest Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy a couple years ago.   (I think we can all agree that THAT was one dog of a movie whose directors, producers and actors should have been turned over to  the Vogons for appropriate punishment.)  But then I heard today that  Julie and Julia will be coming out this summer:  a movie about Julia Child–my idol!–and the blogger who made every single recipe in Julia’s “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” bible.   And the best part?  Meryl Streep is cast as Julia Child!  Woohoo!  I am ridiculously happy that the movie is being made–I’ve loved Julia Child for 40 years!  I can’t wait to see it!
