Christmas Eve

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

We just returned home from the Christmas Eve get together at Lyn and Bob’s.   It was great (as always).   The children are getting older, and the gathering is getting quieter — especially noticeable when the children departed en masse to the basement.  Everyone is well and thankful, I think, to have survived this year.  Kevin is doing very well — 100% recovered.   No visit from Santa this time.   Here are some pictures.

Also, I came across this from several years ago . . .

Akron ‘Welcome Santa’ Parade

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

Mike, Caleb and I enjoyed the Akron parade this afternoon. Though we were cold (and tired) by the time it ended, it was great fun. And we really enjoyed the hot sloppy joes Grandma and Jenn made when we got home.

Christmas Day

Monday, December 25th, 2006

We had lots of fun and ate way too much. We watched Caleb trying to wake “Flippy” the fish with songs — accompanied by Mommy, Ma, Aunt Jean and Stephanie.

Christmas Eve at Lyn & Bob’s

Sunday, December 24th, 2006

It was a great gathering, and we had a great time. Jeff commented that he sees reflections of his younger self among the next generation of youngsters attending Christmas Eve at Aunt Lynda’s.

Cali’s had enough of holiday house guests and changes to her environment. She never complains, but sometimes you can read between the lines.
